Question - where are you and what are you trying to do??? Underwater housing prices vary greatly, but one of the prime differences influencing price is depth. Split horizon surface scenes can be shot with a plastic bag. Once you go below the surface, things change quickly. For every 33 ft of depth, the water pressure DOUBLES - and the price does some multiple of that.

Think of your common garden hose. Now imaging turning it on full force and trying to pinch it closed. At 50' that's roughly the pressure over every inch of your housing trying to get at your camera.

I've had my EWA bag to 40' briefly but that's really pushing it.

Rental houses for housings and stock footage are your friends.

A better description of what you're trying to shoot might bring better specific suggestions.

Best wishes.

over the summer i am going to greece to shoot on the water. I will have my camera hooked to multiple boats, splashing etc will occur and it will most likely get taken underwater as well. not deep though

To avoid ruining your T2i, lens, SD card (and anything else attached), I'll buy a cheaper HD cam and film with that when you're around water. Are the shots you are willing to get worth possibly ruining your gear?

I've seen underwater housing for cheap digital cameras run over $200, so I can't imagine you'd get one for a Canon DSLR for anything less than $500... not one I'd trust anyway.

Sand, salt and water don't play nice with any cameras, especially DSLRs.
