Any chance fs700 + odyssey 2k raw will work with no moire issues?

Huge amount of data is the only problem I found when considering fs700 + odyssey 4K raw system for a tv series I'll shoot soon. Then I remembered the overlooked 2K option. Made some tests and realized it's still suffering from massive moire. Any chance to have it fixed?

(I know slimRaw, but it's still massive data IMO)

4K ProRes HQ not good enough?

Martin, I didn't make a full test, but I feel raw is better than 4k Prores. Feels more filmic, highlights clip better, there's no banding issue. And the flexibility of raw has to be considered.

A I said, I might be wrong, but I'd go 2K raw (no moire problem) over 4k Prores.

What do you guys think?

have you tested if it could be corrected in Resolve? Sometimes it does a pretty good job with moiré!

humm.. dunno. dangerous to pick a system with serious moire issues when you simply can avoid it.

the point here is:

convergent design will improve 2K raw or we're stuck to what we have now?

I personally would go with 4k prores over 2k raw, but that is me because I hate a RAW workflow. You gain a very slight increase in dynamic range in 2k raw, you give up resolution, aliasing and moire in a very big way. Even if you planning on finishing in HD, the 4k is much sharper and gives the added flexibility for cropping and stabilizing.

Personally, if you are prepared to deal with a RAW workflow compared to prores, I don't understand the hesitation to go with the full 4k RAW. There is a lot to gain, and only have storage space to give up. I don't want to say disk storage is completely negligible, but in the scope of filming a TV show, I would say that it my mind it might be pretty close.
