What are you guys using or what do you suggest for batteries and chargers for the HPX500?
Thank you

I had batteries shipped up to canada from Florida (quite a way to go)... the batteries are very reasonably priced, work just as good (if not better) than anton bauer gold mount batteries for a way better price... I've just ordered some more actually... and they're great to deal with.

I guess you can go with Anton Bauer (they are in all the Panasonic promo materials) if you'd like as they are great batteries, but they are quite expensive. Some guys swear by anton bauer being the only good batteries... just like they swear by only sony making good cameras.

I use the Dionic 90's and the TITANT2 charger. Great combination, but way expensive.

I would be very interested in hearing from others using less expensive brands.

Thanks for the suggestions, thats exactly what i needed.
Brad, what was the deciding factor in choosing that combo over others? Will I need anything else for my HPX or will it just attach right away?
Thanks again.

You should try SWIT batteries, half the price of Anton Bauer, half the weight & last longer. I was really hesitant at first... China brand....I tried several times in rental houses & i was sold. All the rental houses here (in Singapore) have switch from Anton to SWIT. Varizoom is selling their SWIT batteries.

I got three Switronix Pro-x XP-L90S with 90 wh and I must say I have no regrets. Cheaper price but last just as long as long as Anton. It's very light, as ck chan had mentioned.

If you got the dough, go with the flow. If not, go with the cheaper brand. They work just as well.

Hi Luke,
I went with this setup as a result of a recommendation from the company that I purchased the cameras from.

As for what else that you may need, I would suggest that since the charger doubles as a power supply, pick up an XLR power cable.

Best,
Brad

Thanks everyone for the help. Money isn't really a problem so i figure i might as well go with Anton.
Brad, how many 90's do you currently have and how much time on average do you get with one?

I'm definitely getting the TITANT2 charger. It seems like its recommended more than any other.

I have 4 of the Dionic 90 batteries but I have 2 HPX500's.

I typically get 3-3.5 hours out of a single battery. But that's if I'm only powering the camera and no accessories.

Sounds great! I think i decided to get two Dionic 90's and the Titan2. Thanks for all the help.

I use IDX ENDURA 10s v mount batteries. And the VL CHarger. You will need an adapter that mounts to the AB mount.

The V mounts can piggyback on each other for longer changeout times. The charger also has a 4 pin XLR DC out suitable for powering the camera without a battery mounted, very handy.

AB batteries may be pricey, but their service more than makes up for it. Any time I have had an issue, I just pick up the phone. By the second ring, I am talking to a live service tech, that A) Speaks clear, fluent English, and B) Is always helpful and pleasant.

Luke the AB to me is the best u can do...like Brad said...3.5, 4 hours on the rec.
My choice was Dionic 90, i have 3 , and the TANDEM CHarger( AC/DC).
Best.

Thanks again for all your help. I have submitted my equipment list to my employers in the UAE (Dubai) and i should be over there using it within a month.
