Anton Bauer-Stasis Flex for HVX comments from user

Thinking of getting an Anton Bauer Stasis Flex for my HVX. I have never used any steadying device except by tripod. I've seen the "Spider Brace," "DV-Multi-rig," and the other one from the UK, kind of looks like the DV-Multi but more expensive.

The Stasis Flex "looks" like the next best thing to a shoulder mount camera? Does the "weight shifting and steadying effect really work like the advertising states?

It's a great option for those of us who miss the ability to use our body for stability on various shoots where you don’t want a tripod.
This is the second version of the Stasis. The first version was cool but was made of metal and the HVX was slightly off balance on the rigid frame. This would have made it hard to use for more than an hour or more at a time.

I had a chance to talk with the designers a while back and they agreed to alter it to work better with the HVX. Now it adjusts much better for different camera operators, cameras and camera configurations.

Having to hold the camera in mid air has always been a frustration with these smaller cameras. If you feel the same way, the Stasis would be worth looking into.

I've read reviews that do not recommend this supporting device. Per the advertising and product description though I am tempted to buy it.
Does anybody else has further experience with it?
