Anton Bauer Hytron 50 batteries for FS700 or 7Q+?

They will work just fine. You will need to buy a battery mount plate with a voltage converter to power the FS700. Among others, Wooden Camera makes one. You could by the WC Recorder Slide and mount the Odyssey7Q+ on one side and the battery mount on the other. There are a number of ways to attach this to the camera, including WC's 15mm rod clamp.

I am a big fan and use Anton Bauer Batteries but you should know, if you don't already, that NiCad batteries... Hytrons have a limited shelf life compared to Lithium Ion and other more modern battery chemistries. NiCads are great if you have cameras that have massive power surges or if you have a camera that requires ballast, "weight" hanging off the back. If those Hytrons are over 2 years, no matter how many cycles they have, will crap out before long.

Give it a good think before you buy all the stuff around it to support those particular batteries.

The go to guy for re-celling Anton Bauer batteries is John Ritter.

That is a good point that I had in the back of my mind. My AB Hytron batteries, though rarely used are 10 years old now. That means most of their life has been on the charger. They still seem to work well but their days could be numbered.
