Your methods really did the colors of the cars justice I think.

I chose to posts some stills, because the h.264 compression really lost a lot over the 10-bit original. And then Youtube compressed it again and really ruined it. I used my 16mm Rokinon Cine Prime here. Here's what the Youtube version captured:



Watching the original on a wide-gamut 4K display is a rare pleasure that few people have experienced. The HG7 LUT, recorded to media produces a nice look, IMHO, that needs little to no further tweaking in post.
