Another Wedding to critique

I have read and posted here for a while now, but never asked for feedback. I figure if I'm going to get any better I should get the opinion of other people who do this, so here ya go.

This clip is the entire wedding but I thought if you could just tell me what you think about the Intro that would be nice.

Only thing I'm not happy with is how the flash video messes with the look of the 24p frame rate at the beginning. I'm sure there is a way to prevent this but I don't know what that is. Looks good on the DVD though.

Thanks everyone!

I like the intro. Nice choice of song too.
What audio device did you use though? I'm at about 10% of the video and hear a lot of surrounding sounds, camera hiss and the camera being touched.

THANKS! Yeah, the audio...w/ the exception of the ceremony which I was using 2 G2's plus a house feed....was all on camera mic. I've since started using the NTG-1, but it is still mounted on the rode hotshoe mount for the camera (not boomed as I am a one man band for most of these). All the footage off the tripods was just handheld too. I've since received the DVRig Pro. Both make a huge difference! I don't know what I was thinking not using them before now.

I have 3 weddings coming up in the next few weeks using those and other new toys. Thought I might get some ideas from people before I went out shooting again.

I didn't watch the whole thing since it was taking a while to stream but it was good. Although the music appears illegal.

Great, I'm now passed the blessings and stuff. The sound is pretty good! Did you put a mic on the groom and preacher? Also, did you use the standard G2 microphone? I'm still looking for a lav and this sounds good.

Did you hire the other guy, or is it a 2 man company?

Good job! I like it.

Footage was very nice, just a few nitpicks:
There were noticeable shakes in the intro footage (did you have OIS on?) and the shots were a bit flat. Inside the church, with a tripod, you could've set up some shallow DOF, Focus in/out, etc, to give more of that cinematic look.
As far as the look of the video, and maybe the flash compression is to blame, a lot of it is flat. Maybe you can try upping the contrast and add some white diffusion for a cool look.
I'm going to shoot a wedding in December, as a favor to my girlfriend's sister, and maybe you as someone who does this professionally and by himself, can offer some insight into how to pull it off.
But I digress...as mentioned above, great music selection also.
Good stuff.

Man Ferdi, you are dedicated to watch this much! THANKS for taking the time!

Yeah, I had a reg ol G2 on the preacher and another one on the groom (that also picks up the bride very well). Same ME-4, or maybe ME-2...I don't recall...that came with the setup.

I hired the other cam op just for the ceremony. I refuse to shoot a wedding with one static cam and one manned cam. I think having 2 people shooting the ceremony makes all the difference. Cost me a lot of money to pay one person minimum rate for like 30 mins of work, but that is what it takes I guess.

Thanks again!
