F65: Another Sony F65 test...

...for my own delight and edification......shot at 5fps and then sped up 1000x! I love how versatile the F65 is.

Anyway, in addition to fooling around with under cranking, I also wanted to see the quality difference between shooting at SQ and SQ-Lite compression. Honestly, even when magnified, I can't see a difference so I'll stick with SQ-Lite in the future.

Also, changing the EI on the camera doesn't actually change the exposure to that EI, it's just an "index": it still is shooting at 800ISO. In post then, you bring down the exposure and salt to taste. :)

I find that doing it this way, 200EI is definitely cleaner than 400EI or 800EI. In future, I think I'll set my EI to 640...a nice balance between noise and exposure.

Another Sony F65 Test video

Shot on Sony F65 with 35mm Xeen PL mount lens, Tangerine Misfit Atom matte box, Tiffen 4x5.65 2.1 IRND, Cartoni Delta tripod.

Beautiful stuff! Also, i just realized that I might have purchased an HPX2700 camera from you on your ebay account a few months back.. i ended up selling it for more to adorama and getting my F23. btw, do you know how many volts/amps are needed to power the SRW1/SRPC1 combo from a wall plug?

Mine came with one of these originally.

I am currently using this to power it.

Gorgeous. Thanks for your very valuable experience. Great instruction for a beautiful sky replacement shot.

+1 on the Anton Bauer DT-500, I won a custom 30' 8 pin cable on ebay and the DT-500 consistently rams 14 plus volts to the F65 even through that much length.
