another ONE !!!

Fan-freakin-tastic!
Nikon should sponsor you becuase you are really showing off the commercial viability of their equipment.

How did you do slo-mo?

I'm not sure!

the nikon has a film look than the canon doesn't

the D700x (s) can be the one!

top notch

I am really not feeling 7D's 24 fps look.
Something about it that screams DIGITAL HD CAMERA and I am not looking for that quality right now.

All the stuff I showed here plays on Canadian MTV and MuchMusic channels.
I guess it works and they do not seem to mind the blurry and foggy Nikon look :)
Neither do I.

You're absolutely right about Nikon vs Canon image (I also still have D90), I just wanted to say that if only D90 had a better resolution (well that was my thought when watching your video as it's just great)

WOW

Props man, Mad Props!

You have a lot of skill with post production, and you really now how to use the D90 to its fullest. I loved the art direction as well.

You know a video is good when it makes you like the song, and you achieved that.

Keep up the goods!

Looks really good. People are giving a bad rap all the time to Nikon but they can't this video. I guess it is a personal choice on the look a camera puts out and I'm glad they don't all look the same. Both the canons and Nikons have workarounds. Over on a Canon board someone is even reporting the 7D overheating and shaky video. So everyone needs to do what you are doing. Work with what you have and go out and make something. Great work.

Wow, im pretty blown away with this. How the heck do you achieve such an awesome look?

Geez, id love for you to give us a very detailed breakdown of your workflow. (lenses, other equipment, lighting, editing, color correction, etc..)

I passed this along on another non-film related forum just because i thought it was cool.

For now, the D300s is the only path to a better quality with that look. These videos would have looked sharper but still organic.

Amazing video. I'm impressed and inspired. Can I ask -- there's a misty, watercolour look to many of the shots. It's more than the usual D90 look, it's something special. So how did you achieve that?

Many thanks.

hey Jurno,

This misty effect was added in post.
It is a mixture of diffusion, gamma correction, contrast adjustments and glow.
I felt it worked well for these spaced out "bridge to nowhere" sequences.

Ruzo,

I am both excited and little worried when I think about the future.
I can barely watch most of the recent HD videos I stumble upon...and it is not the subject matter or whatever, but that god awful sharpness plus the bizarre shutter speeds.
I truly hope people will stick to recreating the 35mm look with these machines and turn away from trying to establish and popularize the HD laboratory look.
