Hi All!

Just saying hello. I'm new here and getting ready to start my second feature documentary (with my new Panasonic DVX100B).

I have a quick question: in testing it out, I noticed that (in 24p) even a small amount of sunshine completely washes out the LCD screen and viewfinder. Is this normal and what can I do to correct it? This wasn't an issue on my last project that I shot with a PD150.

Thanks for your help and I look forward to being a part of this community.

Not sure if this is what you are referring to but you might try the built in ND filter and see if that is the solution to your problem. If it's fine inside but blown out in the sunlight that might be the problem. Just a hunch based on what you said though I could be wrong.

Yes, with the ND Filter it's fine. I just don't remember even needing the ND with the PD150 unless the sunlight was really bright. I think it'll be fine, I was just curious. Thanks !

Yes, I'm waiting for the book & DVD as part of my rebate. The last time I checked, it had a process date of 8/28. But, I think the "secret" website is gone. I haven't been able to find it again. Anyone else notice this?

Hey, two DFW folks...cool!
