Another hardware difference between 1D C and 1D X!

As you've already known, 1D C has a headphone jack instead of flash sync on 1D X, and the heat sink on 1D C is beefier than 1D X.

Besides this, what else?

Look at the bottom of both cameras















1D C has a hole for locating pin at the bottom! It's designed for use with anti-twist base plate (nobody has made one yet).

I think Tilta put one on their DSLR off-set rig... atleast there's a little pin on the right side of the "base plate".

Or is it something else?

Yes, 5D and other Canon DSLRs usually have holes at the bottom for locating pin, 1D series don't, except for 1D C.

And all battery grips don't have this either.

Haha, well even ARRI didn't notice the difference, their "Pro Camera Accessories" for 1D X/1D C shares the same design, no locating pin for 1D C!
