Got my camera from Rush last week... I ordered it Tuesday night & it came across the country (CA to Ohio) Thursday morning!
AWESOME prices, excellent service... and I have to hand it to Rush-- he didn't try to strong-arm me into any additional items, warranties, etc. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with!

So, my hat's off to EVS-- consider me another convert from B&H!

EVS (Rush) has NEVER tried to upsell me or take me for a fool. IN fact, once I was talked down on a purchase and brought to my senses. Truly class acts. I will not buy anywhere else (unless supply demands)

I just got a video camera today from EVS. It's a Canon ZR-80 (the cheapest 'quality' mini DV camcorder). It will ride in my Porta Brace bag alongside my DVX as a back-up/crash/quick grab/2nd unit camera.

Oh yeah... got another Sennheiser G2 combo kit, too.

EVS, baby!

BTW... Has anyone heard from Rush recently? I placed my order with one of his underlings and I haven't read any recent posts by him.

Rush hooked me up about two months ago the week before I was headed to Africa. He overnighted me a DVX100A (with very reasonable shipping) and everything came as planned with no problems and no attempts to persuade me to buy anything else. I have now bought stuff from him two times and both times it has been great. Thanks EVS and Rush!

I have a distinct advantage of being able to drive down to EVS during lunch breaks. Rush is awesome and EVS is too. I checked out a Flowpod and decided not to purchase based on what I percieved as quality issues. I went home remembering what Rush and I talked about and ordered a monopod instead. Prompt, polite and decent prices! Plus UPS ground gets it to me next day!

Hey guys, I really appreciate all the positive feedback. ;D It looks like I may be moving one of my night time editing gigs to the weekend, so pretty soon you'll have to deal with my ugly mug back on the boards! (Cuz' what's better than talking tech?) Thanks for the orders, thanks for the loyalty...

EVS is pretty cool. I order tapes there all the time. The only thing that's stopping this poor student from ordering major purchases there (vs. B&H) is the bloody CA tax  :-/

I've actually found the shipping costs between EVS (in CA) and B&H (in NY) to be comparable when shipping to me (in Ohio).
