FS5: Another FS5 Lens thread.

A tele Extender can make your lens twice as long, and shooting in Center Scan can make that 2x longer again, then Clear Image Zoom and extend it further, but I don't like using that. Here's a test I did with my Canon 70-200 f/2.8 and their 2x tele extender. That extender only works with some Canon lenses.

Yeah, Chad - will consider that path as well (except I don't have an FS5, so my only possibility is the extender - do you know if the 2x works with my Canon 16-35mm?). And speaking of filling the gap (with overlaps) between my new Canon 16-35mm and the kit lens 42-~~ (in full frame terms - sorry Super35mm purists if I offend you) - what is the opinion of the only image-stabilized lens in this range, the Tamron http://www.tamron.eu/lenses/sp-24-70mm-f28-di-vc-usd ? Something really fast with Speed Booster... And used with my 16-35 FF and 18-135 S35, neither one would have to be used at their extreme focal lengths!

Thanks Leni :)

PS. So I assume the FS7 menu item "reverse lens focussing direction" only works with the kit lens, right?

wasn't even aware of that menu item but i can't imagine how it would affect a lens like the Tamron. Maybe for some Sony E mt lenses.

It really is a pity Tamron focus ring rotates Nikon-style; I'd really be interested in the SP 24-70mm F2.8 Di VC USD lens... Anyone heard of stabilized Canon or Sigma F/2.8 with this focal range coming any time soon? Witnessing how my Speed Booster actually doesn't boost my current 16-35mm F4.0 Canon lens by an entire stop, especially at full tele (it's closer to half a stop boost, really), I'd love another lens in my arsenal to natively be F2.8, and currently the Canon EF 24-70 is either F4.0 with IS, or F2.8 without IS... And IS is also a necessity for me...
