another f35 test...

Re: another f35 test...

would this work on auto focus? Also how much dose your f35 setup cost? Is it spinning glass or static? Nice DOF. Thanks firre..

Re: another f35 test...

This looks so much better than the first footage you posted...what's different this time around?

Re: another f35 test...

looks great. i even love that it doesnt stay in focus..somethin kinda cool and arty about it.

is that static grain the ground glass or the compression? i feel like im seeing the ground glass but not sure...sweet lookin stuff..makes me want one.

Re: another f35 test...

My guess is the ground glass- same as your Rich. I've seen a lot of static adapter footage and this has the same grain.

Re: another f35 test...

Looks great. What kind of lens are you using? I'd love to see a photo of the rig.

Re: another f35 test...

This is static version dof mochine. There is still visible grain of ground glass. This movie has 360x288 and is compressed in sorenson. This time i grit closeup+4 lens so my setup looks like this:

s.gif

ground glass: +4 close up, reversed, flatted and grinded one side.
Grinding i made by my own with 1000 grit powder.

Dvx: Focus:31% Zoom:71

Amahp: this don't work on auto focus. I'm use manual 35mm Canon FD lenses:

50mm f1.4
28-55mm f3.5
45-105mm f3.5
60-300mm f3.8-f5.6
On video that i share i use only one lens[ 50mm ]

On this monday we wil shoot our first pictures with this setup to 10 short film "rose".

Re: another f35 test...

was your ground glass spinning?
Also, could you post some pics of your setup
your footage looked really good

Re: another f35 test...

Looks awesome, firre! I'm building an almost identical setup -- I'm just waiting for my +10 macro to arrive. I did use a 52mm GG and PLCX lens, so I had a bit of an engineering problem going from the 52mm tubing to the FD mount, but I solved that today. Now, I am most impatient for the macro lens to arrive! Your footage makes me very excited. Good luck with your shoot.

Re: another f35 test...

Is there a DIY floating around on how to put together an adaptor like this? Something easy and straightforward.?

Re: another f35 test...

It cost me about 300$.

I'm not using OptoSigma 1500 ground glass. I use homemade ground glass [1000grit] from +4 closeup.

I'd like to make better ground glass in optical shop....

Re: another f35 test...

That is one of the best things i have seen. I would love to see a picture of the rig. How much did it cost to asemble?
