I only use the panasonic MQ tapes in my 100a. However, I have a second camera, a sony trv20 that I use as a "b-roll" camera on weddings and other events. In my trv, I have always used sony brand tapes. My question is, if I use my trv20 to do all of the capturing into my NLE, will this mess up the dry lube on the MQ tapes. Therefore, if I then reinsert the tape into the Pani, will it have residue left over from the sony dv tape lubricant. I hope this makes sense. I guess I could switch over to shooting all mq tapes, but I still have a lot of sony's laying around that I would like to use in my backup camera. Thanks for the help.
