Another cloud timelapse over rooftops

Very cool! I've been experimenting with the 1 frame per second setting in the FS-100 for this stuff, too. I recognize the SoundTrack Pro music! HA! Love it!!!!!

I got a graded polarizer for sky stuff, too. So I can polarize the sky and not kill off the horizon/landscape. Works great. That was sharp, crystal clear! Really nice!

Thanks for the kind words. I am finally starting to see the quality of footage others are getting due to learning the "ropes" of the camera. Had not thought of the graded polarizer, will check into that.

Last sunset I did had a snow/trees landscape in the foreground that got lost due to the polarizer. One thing anyone shooting time lapses should keep in mind is - it's OK to shoot 1080 because there is absolutely no reason to be conservative - you can shoot all day without filling up a P2 card.

Love the work

I own a HVX200. I also own a FS-100. Where would I even start on making a great timelapse like you're? does the HVX200 make a movie file after you are done recording? or is it a bunch of stills? Can you please share some of your knowledge with a newbie like me?

You can do time lapse in the camera itself. The FS-100 gives you more options for time lapse settings. Both make a video file like you see in the example posted here. I recommend Barry's book on the HVX very much.

On the FS-100, you can set the time lapse in the menu. You set how long between each frame, from 1 frame to 24 hours. Then you let the HVX just feed a picture to the FS-100, meaning you do not hit record on the HVX. You hit record on the FS-100.

Scan your user manuals for time lapse info.
