Another (but DIFFERENT) dvx100b vs hvx200 thread

Ok I searched and read, but I had a different question. This is NOT a "which one should I get thread." This is an OBJECTIVE differences thread.

What are the main differences between the dvx100b & HVX200, for example (and correct me if I am wrong on any of these:

THINGS the HVX200 has that the DVX100b does NOT have:

- HVX shoots HD
- HVX offers solid state recording
- HVX offers true 16:9 CCDs
- HVX offers variable frame rates
- HVX offers a lens with more zoom range

What are some of the other main things that the HVX200 has that the DVX100b does not? Basically I am looking for the main features that I would lose if I went with a dvx100b.

(also: what is the specific difference I would see when shooting 16:9 footage on the dvx100bs sensors VS the hvx200 "true" 16:9 sensors? I am still unclear on this after reading a bit).

Yeah the color space allows better keying and color correction. Even if you're aiming for SD output shooting and editing within the DVCPRO HD codec is sweet compared to DV or HDV. Then you can ouput to SD.
Go buy one NOW!! You won't be sorry.

Here are the things that I can think of that a DVX does better than an HVX:

1) DVX is smaller, lighter, easier to use hand-held
2) DVX is one stop faster in progressive mode, two stops faster in interlaced
3) DVX has cleaner 60i without jaggy artifacts.
4) DVX batteries last longer; you get about 5.5 hours out of a 5400 battery, vs. that same battery lasting about 3.5 hours on an HVX.

Other than that, the HVX is all the way better. HVX does everything else the DVX does, at least as good if not better, and adds 4:2:2 color sampling, native 16:9 recording, DVCPRO50 mode, 720p high def, 1080 high def, a longer telephoto, a wider wide angle, four channels of audio instead of two, variable frame rates, P2 tapeless recording, intervalometer functionality (missing on the DVX100B), firmware upgradeability, SD card saving scene files and user files... all sorts of stuff.
