another Blue Screen test (in PPro)

Hello everyone,

Have a looksie at this short news footage.  This is my first blue screen test.  I used the Blue Screen Key in Premiere Pro.  Easy enough to use but this seems to be about the best I can get it.

I don't have any other programs to use so that's not an option and I am wondering if this is probably the best I am going to get in Premiere?  This footage will just be playing on a TV in the background of a scene so it's not gonna be crucial to get these few seconds looking amazing...I am just wondering for future reference, it was lit (BG and FG) pretty damned well with a bunch of studio lighting.

I have played with the Threshold 31-33% now, Cutoff 25-26% now, and the Smoothing high now and well, I just can't get rid of those bright areas on the right side of the actor.

Also, anybody know why the bottom part of him is cut off?  I know that you wouldn't see that on a TV screen but if I played this output from a DVD for example on a computer monitor wouldn't I be able to see that?

Lol, dude is all funny and everything talkin like an announcer or something. Its pretty cool. i would use After effects though, and make sure you work on your lighting a bit! Dont know why its cut off, how about you just take him and drag him down or something?

Hi skeetalee

unfortunately i am a TOTAL AE virgin. never even touched the thing, i have it, but i havent dived in. so maybe the next blue screen i do i should start there eh? thanks.

in timeline in premiere when i play the clip back there it doesnt chop off his lower body, it only does in the exported file. really odd! it looks like it chops him where the TV safe line is...hmmmmm.
