Another African scam!

I am getting ready to move out to Orlando, and still trying to find a house. So I found a really nice sounding 4 bedroom on Craigslist, sitting on a lake and everything, the price was $1400 a month. I responded, got an email, then got another with pictures. Great I thought, but when I went back to Craigslist to look at the ad again, it was pulled. Then I did a little checking and found the same house for rent on several rental sites for $2200 a month. I contacted the Agent, and said her Husband had agreed to $1400. Imagine my surprise when she told me her Husband was not a doctor, nor was he a missionary in Africa. Here is the number I received in the second email- +234 803 932 4950. Nigeria strikes again!

Look on the bright side, I least you were not offered to have parts of your anatomy enlarged. Explaining that email to your friends may be tricky...

I understand there's some group that goes by the name, "Anonymous" that loves to string the scamers along. They make it into a game of how far they can go making the scamers believe they have some sucker and then Anonymous Members try to make the scamers jump through hoops.

Now if only they would fill all those fake, "You Credit Card Is Frozen, please update your security info." with false information. :D

The funniest email I got like that read ...

Are you sick and tired of getting ripped off by all those male enlargement products that never work? Well, the truth is, they are all a scam, except ours ...

Nice. Luckily I use GMail and all of the crap goes right into the spam folder, I never even have to look at it. Although I am not going to lie, occasionally I do just for kicks.

geeze, these nigerians aren't a real honest bunch are they, he he,

Here in South Africa they are the force behind MOST of our crime problems,

seems like they scam people all over the globe

Maybe I should start my own scam ... :D

Dear Friend,

Great blessings have come you way this day. This email comes from a missionary in South America, who clearly has nothing else better to do. This email has been round the world 7 times and is the only email with built-in round the world counters.

To receive good luck, carefully pack your HD video camera in a box and send it the name at the top of the list. Cross off that name, add your name to the bottom, and send 13 copies to your friends. In a few weeks, if the chain is not broken, you will receive 371,293 HD video cameras!!!

Owen D. Money did so and received 27,851 HD cameras. He opened an HD camera rental agency.

C. D. Mann didn't have a video camera to send, but he sent in a flier for one. In a few weeks, he received a new HVX-200a camera in the mail.

I. B. Stiff failed to continue the chain and bad luck came to him. He died 2 weeks later and the cause of death was listed as failure to pass along a chain letter.

VERY IMPORTANT, do not break the chain!!!!

List of names:
(1) Rob U. Blind (c/o Bob Diaz), 7734 Ripoff Lane, Screwed, CA
(2) U. B. Hadd (c/o Bob Diaz), 7734 Ripoff Lane, Screwed, CA
(3) I. R. Screwed, 1787 Dumbduck Drive, Sucker, ID
(4) U. R. Afool, c/o Colombia Prison, NV
(5) B. D. Eyes, 7th Street & Fairfax (next to the buss stop), Downtown LA, CA

Haha, Anon is an interesting group to say the least. They are also the ones warring with Scientology. Also the creators of the meems you see online. All those cat pictures with amazing tag lines on them....created by anon.

And Fox news labeled them a terrorist group. haha. Funny stuff.

They don't seem too bright either. What is the deal with Nigeria, speaking as an African? I mean, it seems to me they are in a pretty bad area to begin with, but yet they have internet. And instead of watching porn like everyone else, they send out the stupidest email scams?

Yeah, I read you. I tend to buy a considerable amount of equipment for testing and then I sell it and I get a TON of godfathers trying to send their Nigerian godsons cool gifts. For some time I was so fed up that I started replying to these mails...and believe you me, you don't want to know what kinds of replies I was sending.
