Another AF100 & GH1 Piece

Here's a fun video we did mainly with the AF100 and GH1 (hacked) for 2nd camera. This time I wanted to get a wide shot for the interviews, which mostly worked out. Even with the a DP6, it was a bit difficult to ensure focus was spot on in the wide interview shots. I think they all came out sharp though.

As always, just so well done in all aspects!!!

Great match on the cameras! What lenses?

Love the move to the microscope, the light coming through the holes in the wall, the staircase...

Your small pieces of natsound, under and full- an on cam mic?

As far as story, does GT give you any more than "20 years" as a concept, along with the award recipients? How does the story get shaped?

BTW, meant to comment on your cherry blossom piece- gorgeous! especially love the purple canopy shot!

Thanks very much!

Cameras/lenses were AF100 w/ Lumix 20mm , GH1 w/ Zeiss ZF 50mm f2 Makro. Matching was easier this time as it was the first time I had Colorista 2.

Nat sound was probably 50/50 in-camera mic and other times boomed.

For the concept, it's pretty much "Hey make this about faculty who have been there 20 years." We've done this three times now so it's hard to add something original each time. At least we can run with it for the most part, and we just try to touch on a few key themes that give it some sense of story.

Thanks on the blossoms as well, that was just a fun piece we did one morning as we always try to go see the blossoms each year.
