Anone have trouble playing back full HD quicktime movies?

Hi guys,

Just bought an i7, 2.93 / 3.6 GHz, 8GB Ram, nVidia GTX 470....

My full HD gh13 files play back beautifully on my computer, as do vimeo full HD movies.

But when I downloaded a free full HD stock footage QUICKTIME MOV clip from istockphoto.com, the clip really stutters...and its only ten seconds long.

Anyone else have problems with full HD quicktime, or do you think it's a problem with istockphoto.com? Wouldn't think so as they're one of the world's biggest royalty free websites.

I doubt there's anything wrong with your computer. I downloaded a video a while back that stuttered badly, I downloaded it again and it was fine. So, it must've been some kind of file corruption. In other words, try downloading the file again.
 
Thanks. I tried re-downloading it but it still plays stuttery. However, I downloaded another clip and it played fine. The fine clip was 24 fps while the stuttery one was 30 fps, do you think that makes a difference? Am using Media Player, Quicktime Player and VLC.

Why not try transcoding it to a more friendly codec for your editing soft?

QT HD have often been very hard to play without stuttering for me too.
(I edit on Vegas with AVCHD or MXF)
