Anniversary

Lucky Duck
So I haven't got anything new to share yet but this weekend is the one year anniversary of the original Water's Edge and the purchase of my DVX so I'm posting the movie here again. It's been down for about 6 months and I'm sure lots of newcomers have not seen it and I'm very partial to it myself.

Basically, this is the first thing I shot on my DVX over a couple of days.

By the way, the Water's Edge link on my home page is to a completely different movie that was edited for my local cable station.

Thanks for reposting this Disjecta- As a newcomer I had not seen the original version. I too like it over the cable version. My favorite though is still "A Magical Fall".

Have you really only had a DVX for a year? The kind of work you put out, i thought you had it since its inception...

Damn, keep it up.

thanks for the comments guys...the crane used is the Cobra Crane II made by Promax...

There was a extensive thread when I posted this originally but it seems to be lost now. :(

As usual, another great work. (I had not seen this version either.) As for the cloud rolling scene - was that time laps or did you have the good fortune of being at the right place at the right time? I must say you have got quite the place - beautiful house and lake.

Thanks Ryan, I just shot that cloud in real time and sped it up in post...I saw it coming way before I hit record.

Nice! One other question I just though of - the score you use - is that THE Thomas Newman, the guy who did American Beauty, The Shawshank Redemption, Little Women and Unstrung Heroes. If so, how did you get to use it?

This is THE Thomas Newman. It's the soundtrack from Angels in America. I just put this piece together for fun so I have no intention of doing anything commercial with it. I would not be able to afford the royalties :)

Right on. I thought that might be the case, but thought that I would check - incase you had some kind of inside connection.

Absolutely great... I am a fan of disjecta... beautiful.
I want to see more videos like this a no more **** like we can see in Spain TV...
congrats.

Disjecta,

DVXUser without your work is like food without tabasco sauce.

Thrilled to see you're back and inspiring us once again!

hey man pleased to see your back from your holiday. I haven't watched your stuff for a while, but man you can really make that camera sing and you live in such a majestic location. Can't wait to see what you have in store.
