F55: Annie Feature film shot on F55 4K - trailers

Nothing to brag about and a very video-looking example to my eyes. That's pretty F'ing far from what "Annie" is too. Also, she's a redhead, like it or not. I hope this tanks hard.

It does look very videoish. And yes the whole point of Annie was to be annoyed by Gingers. The bad acting/dialogue will go well for young kids though.
 
Usually you can help that video aesthetic by doing a film out, and I think most digital movies with distribution go through that process. Even films shot on the old EX3 like Monsters... looks absolutely fantastic and nails the "filmic" look. But these F5/55's just have trouble no matter how it's treated, it would seem. A million ways to die in the west was hard to watch for that very reason. Usually I just forget about it 5 minutes into a film, but it's strong enough with the new Sony's to be a significant distraction.
 
I'm not a fan of the aesthetic either.

I think in this case it's a lot less about the camera, and a lot more about the decisions people made.
