Animating about 500 names?

Hi everybody!

I need to animate some sort of "flight" or something similar "through" a list of 500 names (provided as excel sheet)...

Is there a good way to a) add the names to the composition and to "automatically" animate the camera movement so it looks like the camera is flying through the names with a bit of randomness in the movements?

Thanks a MILLION!

I believe if you use Adobe Premier and Flash you can do this automatically. The flash will pick up the names one by one and do whatever you want with it in the Premier project timeline..

There may be some stuff at the Adobe support forums - but basically you can drag a Flash project into the Premier Timeline just as you would any movie. What the flash module does is up to you. So in this case you'd have it displaying the names from a list and even applying whatever animation effects you wanted to the text - all within the Flash module.

I had thought of using this technique to create a flash "lower third" module that could be dragged into a timeline and then the flash would display one of countless lower third graphics (depending on a separate control file).

But the same idea could do exactly what Marc wanted.
