im very interested in this lens. So your saying that if you DON'T have a crop mode, like the t3i, or gh2, this lens will vignette pretty badly. If im understanding this correctly, then how much do you need to be zoomed in while in crop mode? Say the t3i (which I have) has a 3x-10x mode. Plus of course the 1.6x crop factor due to the sensor size (aps-c).

You might have trouble with a canon because of the mirror. Have people managed to get a c-mount on a canon with infinity focus?

Im sorry, I think your correct in that the mirror would be an issue. I was thinking m-42. Sorry.
