just a table-read/screentest from this afternoon - on camera sound, will obviously not be recording the film that way but it was just a table read

Shot with GH1 1080/24, Canon FD 24mm F1.4 L @ f/4.5 and using the Panasonic AG-LA7200 Anamorphic adapter. Sorry about the flare - I just set up the camera and let it run and didn't look at it that closely - most importantly I was happy to get a relatively closely shot interior that works with the anamorphic lens well, since you've got to stop the lens down pretty far in order to get sharp images, and can't focus very closely (much less than a few feet doesn't work well) - I was happy that this worked out well - the focus was set on the actress on the left (Jamie), so the actress on the right for this table read wasn't in the sharpest of all possible focus, but not too bad - anyways, everybody loves anamorphic footage - I do have to say that anamorphic stuff on the GH1 does seem to look better than straight shooting if the conditions will allow the use of anamorphics - because you get the bigger image that gets shrunk (when you put it in a normal 1920x1080 square pixel timeline, that is) it seems to somewhat minimize the visibility of some compression artifacts.

Anyways, our feature film starts shooting in but a mere few days - going to try and shoot everything anamorphic (we'll see how that goes) - but it will make up at least 75% of the footage that we shoot and we'll crop the rest.

Some sharpness and color balance done in post - this was lit with three lights (again quick and dirty since it was just a table read) - a little filmgrain just for kicks...since after all, this isn't part of the film :) but I do like a little grain added to digital footage...but that's me.
