Hi guys,

Just wanted to post this pop-punk/dance music video I shot on the GH5 with 2x Lomo squarefront anamorphics.
V-Log L, 10-bit 2496p 4:3 mode. Finished at 1440p with a 2.67:1 aspect ratio.

Shot run-n-gun in one afternoon/evening. Went pretty stylized with the colours.
This little camera is so great for anamorphic, can't wait for ALL-I, in-camera de-squeeze and 6K 3744p

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for watching!

Yeah, no crew just walking around with the director and talent banging off shots. Great fun! (and a lot lighter than my RED One!)

Updating my firmware today.

Best example of the GH5 so far. Doesn't Look videoish one bit. Have you shot anything you can share after the new 6K or 400i update?

Thanks for watching James.

I have played with the 6k a little, and it looks amazing, but the no HDMI out aspect means I haven't been able to use it on any gigs.

I've stuck with the 150Mbps IPB so far because I can't afford faster cards right now haha. That, and the small file sizes have been desirable for the jobs I've been using the camera on.

Wow!

Talent and style are the first two words I can come up with!

The only little minor comment (but that is a pet peeve of mine) is the coming back to the "repeated doing the same" kitchen scene. I prefer that unless a repeated scene is used as some leitmotiv I would keep unique scenes.

Thanks for checking it out Cary!

It looks great! thanks a lot for sharing.

can I ask how you adapted the lens to the MFT mount?

Did you use a PL mount to MFT?

I want to use Anamorphics for a video I'll shoot next month with the GH5 but I thought I was stuck with the SLR Magics since they're the only ones with MFT mount.

Thanks and great job!

Yeah, I got a PL mount for my GH1 back in the day, so I've been mounting the Lomos on MFT for ages. And sony E-mount too.

I'd suggest trying to rent some Lomos or Kowas over the SLR Magics if you can, they're pretty wonky.

Looks good and I like the song, too. Makes me want a GH5 :) Good job and thanks for sharing!

Nailed it once again.

Out of curiosity, do you lock down the sensor, especially for anamorphic mode? And what are your focal lengths?

Thanks for sharing.

Those lomos are fantastic. Love how soft the image for a 4k image. I assume its just the lomos? No black mist filter or those kind of things?

Thanks, Yeah I don't really use IBIS. The anamorphic setting they added is great, but stabilization doesn't really work when you're going for the wild, freewheeling kind of hand-held look that we were going for in these videos. I have a 35, 50, 80mm.

No diffusion on these videos. But I do use Black Pro Mists pretty often.

Here's one I shot with 1/4 BPM on the whole time. This one I was going for a really dim/grungy look:
