We have a multi-cam project coming up where we need a super wide aspect ratio while filming in the desert, & will most likely use anamorphic lenses on the AF100. The Director wants a 5:1 ratio, but this setup should yield a 3.55:1 ratio when un-squezzed, & will likely suffice.
We'll preview in-camera with Zacuto EVFs which have anamorphic options, but as yet I'm unsure how we'll pass this along to the director's monitors. I'm sure there's monitors with this option, but I haven't fully researched. Hopefully the TVLogic 5.6", or similar, will suffice as I'd prefer onboard director's monitors for this gig.
Most likely the lenses will come from Clairmont Camera, & they recommend the Hawk primes.

I've never used anamorphics before, & wonder if anyone has experiences they'd like to share? Mostly we'll be on sticks, but some shoulder, or handheld too, likely within a moving car.
Clairmont's an incredible resource, & likely capable of accommodating any needs, but I'd like to walk into the prep day as prepared as possible.
Thanks,
Bern
