i was wondering if the cine manual focus along with the achromatic diopter would that help the foucusing and zooming with the anamorphic lense?

I know the manual focus sure would, especially with hard stops makes it a hell of a lot easier to pull focus, although you can get away with not having it... just make sure you take the time to get correct focus before shooting. Im not sure how the dioptr would help. Your probably aware, but its not that the ana lense cant focus, it just takes time to get correct focus. I have got best results letting the camera use focus assist and then converting the AF number to a MF number using Barrys chart. I just make sure I zoom to 90 on the subject when obtaining the AF number. Has always worked well.

My biggest problem were shots with lots of action where the distance was harder to control like this running shot: Got any tips for that? This running sequence was shot at 1/500 shutter speed also.
