anamorphic lens ?

will i get a better 16x9 picture when using this as opposed to using the DVX in regular letterbox ro squeeze mode ? Does teh adaptor allow the camera to use more of the CCD when shooting 16x9 ?

My output will be dvd but displayed on a widescreen tv

Yes and yes. I encourage you to try a "search" for "anamorphic adapter" on the forums.
It can be a little tricky keeping in focus, I've read. As long as the lens is stopped down you're okay.
