Anamorphic Lens into FCP

Hello everyone,
I am would like to know the steps to bring an anamorphic footage into Final Cut Pro. I has a pre-set capture for the anamorphic footage but I don't know if I need to make a anomorphic sequence or a 4:3 sequence. I would like to export out to TV with the widescreen mode. I hope i make sense.

You can make an anamorphic sequence and pull in the footage as anamorphic, in which case it should displayed in 16:9 format. Or you could make yourself a 4:3 sequence and pull in the footage without the anamorphic box checked, in which case it will display stretched. Attempting to import anamorphic clips into a 4:3 sequence will force a render on you, so the first option is probably the best.
