anamorphic aspect ratio help

Hmm, needing some aspect ratio help...

I've been playing with my Kowa B&H 2X on my 5DMkII via the excellent REDSTAN clamp.
I'm currently using my Contax/Yashica Zeiss 100/f2.
I notice that a "regular" 5DMkII still .CR2 RAW file size is:
Image Width : 5616
Image Height : 3744
So, to desqueeze this, I have simply been doubling the width to: 11232
However, from the following image, I see that the Kowa B&H isn't actually 2x
I have also read that this is true of all anamorphic lenses?
Are EACH individual lenses different, or are ALL the Kowa B&H have the same aspect ratio?
How would I find this information?
I have also read that one can draw circles, and figure out the correct ratio?
Does it matter how close the focus is to the target?
Anyone have a "Workflow" to calculate the ascept ratio of a lens?
I'm guessing there isn't anyway to measure it?

oh, testing the anamorphic flaring *8^)
notice the Sun isn't circular

I'm surprised no one has replied. There are many people who use anamorphic. I don't. But I googled "Kowa B&H 2X."

Is the shape of the sun in your picture the only cause to believe you desqueezed too much? Because from what I'm seeing that's normal.

More . . .

you can set aspect ratio to 2x in project..that should be ok.. If you are not sure.. film the circle and then strect it in post to see good ratio..

Really, this is normal? Hmm, I don't really know, I am still experimemnting and reading all of this.
I would have thought, that you can desqueeze to proper proportions?
Thanks for the information.
I have LOTS more to read...

The trees, people, and the rest of the objects should look normal. But there's something special about the sun and other bright direct light sources shining directly into the lens.

Ahh, that makes sense.
Thanks a lot!
Now, IF the weather would cooperate.
Looks like we will miss out on the full harvest/blood/total eclipse moon tomorrow night, sigh, was really want to get shots of that.
