Anamorphic Adapter is Fish-Eyeing my edges of frame

After shooting with the Anamorphic adapter, when digitised into fcp the edges of frame are fish-eyed, looking more circular than vertical. The aspect ratio is all fine and this is only happening in the wider shots, but does anyone know a way around this. Appreciate any help with this, cheers, Fraser.
 
A little barrel distortion (and some vignetting as well) is par for the course when it comes to anamorphic, or even very wide angle spherical photography. In a way, it's part of the anamorphic look.

Zoom in a tad and it'll go away, or embrace it. The edges you see while editing may be in the overscan during playback, anyway, and not be noticed by the viewer.
