Wow... I am SO glad I stumbled across these boards!
But anyway, I just wanted to say "Hello"... and that I'm going to be ordering my new DVX in September, as soon as the student loans come in. This board helped make up my mind for me (I had, of course, been looking at the 100a vs the XL2). Maybe now I can retire the little pdx-10 I've got, or at least only resign it to shooting weddings. I'm working on my first short film, and although I'm happy with my work, I'd love for my camera to give me just that little bit *extra*!
Anyway, 2 questions:
1) I was originally going to go through B&H to buy it, but someone named Rush (?) seems to be someone who everyone here goes through. Forgive my newbie status, but where does he work?
2) Is there a pdf manual available for the DVX-100a? I keep hearing about a bit of a learning curve with the camera... but I assume that's just mostly people who are used to the point-and-shoot consumer level cameras, but I'd like to be sure!
I look forward to learning from everyone on these boards as I go along!
David.
