"An Error in Common" website online, with notes, trailer, and interactive game!
Hey all,
It's been way too long since I've posted here last. In November, I completed a short film, titled "An Error in Common" and it made its world premiere at the AFIA Film Festival in Aarhus, Denmark. I'm currently waiting on replies from a bunch of other film festivals (not to mention a few top-tier graduate film schools who have interviewed me). So cross your fingers for me!
In the meantime, I've set up a website where I have a few production notes, as well as a trailer (of course). Most notable, however, is that I also programmed an interactive game, where you watch clips from the film and try to "spot the errors" (get it?), then at the end there is even more behind the scenes info on the film relating to the "errors" (character flaws and production flubs alike). It's silly and perhaps a little bit of fun, too...
Check it out at http://www.heywetried.com/error/
I have been meaning to share this with the DVX community for a while, but ever since I finished with the creation of the film, I've been posting almost exclusively on the forums at film festival website withoutabox.com. It's nice to be back.
I'd love to hear feedback on the site, and the film, too, from this stalwart troupe.
