Hey guys,
I have a new short film coming up that takes place inside a hotel room. There are no dialogues and the whole thing is narrated by a female voice over. The voice over should sound like it's cutting through melancolic silence. As if there was only that voice in the entire world. We must "feel" her loneliness. Her whispers must have presence, melancoly, and a distinct feeling of emptiness.
I was wondering what kind of techniques I can use in sound to amp the performance of the actress. Or is it just like recording any other VO, in a proper room with good mic position, etc?
Thanks!
