Bryan Well-known member Sep 5, 2009 #1 I recently came into possession of a pair of JBL Control 1 speakers. No amp, no wires. I want to hook these up to my Mac Pro to use as monitors. Can anyone recommend an amp or how to hook these bad boys up?

U unclebob6958 Well-known member Sep 5, 2009 #2 You'll need an interface for the MacBook and a power amp.
Alan H. Chang Veteran Sep 6, 2009 #3 The cheap way is to hook the line outs of your Mac pro into a power amp to power your JBL Control 1's. As bob suggested, get an interface for your Mac Pro and connect power amp to your interface. As for the power amp, get one that's rated at 4 ohms @ 150W RMS per channel for a stereo L/R hookup.
