Carpenter looked at him like he was the biggest moron ever and said, "Well, it's a movie. Isn't it?"

Except it's a TV spot...

Hey, just giving you a hard time Arkham, looks very good!

And I'm sold; we will be shooting Scope on our next short (Thanks to you).

I just wanted to add, before this becomes a problem, that by shooting 4:3 and adding a 2:35 matte in post, this will cause you to have to upscale your image 133%, when going out for 16:9 enhanced DVD's. (There may be another way that I'm not yet aware of to transfer 4:3 to 16:9) So it may be better to start off with 16:9 from the get-go.

Personally, I do this with all my stuff, and the DVD output looks great, IMO.

Thanks.

Thanks for posting that info. Upscaling does make the imagery a bit softer, yes? Have you seen this thread? You might be interested in this approach given what you're doing.

Thanks for posting that. I think I had seen that thread a while ago, but hadn't bookmarked it.
I hadn't noticed the image being softer, to be honest. But it makes sense.

Thanks again.

Hey Arkham

I just watched ROADSIDE ATTRACTIONS again (Like the 5th time). Still love this short; very very solid and inspiring.

Just thought I'd share :P

Thanks John! I'm glad it's still holding up for you. I apologize for the smaller versions of all of our films on the site, but we keep exceeding our bandwidth on both sites. All of a sudden Roadside Attractions has gotten really popular, and iBitch 2.0 is REALLY popular. Apparently we're big in Europe.

We'll be releasing a DVD of Roadside Attractions soon, it's got a lot of great and funny extra features. Should go for around $10 bucks. Hopefully people might be interested in buying it, so we can make some more films.

Thanks again.

Btw, the barcode poster behind the guy is a nice subtle addition.
