i thought you guys would like #3 more (face of the center reading the blitz). #4 i had to really push to get some definition into his face with the floodlights against me. we only had 30 minutes with the team for 18 scenes (about 33 takes needed) so there was no chance to even set up reflectors.
my favourite is the last shot and when you see the clip you might know why. it is the tackle that ends the clip.
i also like the overshoulderlook of the widereceiver. we were both running down the field and i looked at the LCD while he looked at the (imaginative) ball and it turned out great. no strobe BTW ;-). we even managed to shoot the take with a ball getting caught from this angle without getting the cam hit, which was a concern.
I have a question about the vertical streaks (shot 4). What exactly causes CCDs to streak? What can be done to minimize that (besides not aiming at bright lights)? And what makes some cameras less susceptible to that than others?
i started some colourcorrection on this clip and here is a test. what do you guys think? should i leave it clean or do you like the oversaturated look? also this particular shot has been focuscorrected (the center is in focus while the left side blurs slightly out).
i agree. it looks ok as a foto to me, but on moving video i prefer the "cleaner" look. especially for a team called "raiders" i will keep it dark and maybe even less saturated.
