American DVX100A in UK

Someone on eBay UK is selling an American DVX100A. Apart from power supply issues would this camera be ok for use in the uk? I'm sorry if this is a daft question and you'll all probably laugh at me :embarasse

it will work entirly in NTSC. (the american video standard)
thoguh a lot of (newer) gear will suport the format, you WILL have porblems with compatibitly and having to cross convert all the time.

And the power supply is multi-voltage, so that's not a worry. (I've got a US version of the DVX here in Germany)

A friend of a friend bought a NTSC from the UK, and was scammed out of his money. IF I were you I would wait for the B.

Probaly not a scam, if they'll let you come and pick it up in person. Difficult to disguise a box of bricks as a camera, if you're standing right there.
