AMD 64 second contest entry in HD (fx1)

We used a sony FX1 in 50i pal mode with cinframe25 on to film this 64 second commerical. We then used aspect HD to convert it to 23.976 and edited it in Premiere Pro 1.5

Color correction was done in After effects.

here is a WMVHD file of it:

Don't be afraid to tear up the bandwith! I get a TB per month of transfer.

Other details, we shot in a studio with studio lighting at WIPB in Muncie IN. We used a ME 66 Sennheiser mic to grab the audio in studio, and there was no ADR. You'll notice some areas where the FX1's audio compression makes it sound like crap. The audio isn't encoded poorly on the WMV, thats just how it sounds.

An FX1 in PAL mode? You must be talking about the Z1 model.

Unless it's the FX1E, that is.

Other than that, VERY COOL VIDEO!

That was an excellent commercial! You should win! I don't agree with the things said in it though, but whatever. I didn't notice bad audio but noticed the actor had a bit of a funny accent at one part, he said: "I click BUTT-INS and things happen." That made me smirk but doesn't seem like an audio issue.

Overall excellent ad.

Perhaps I misunderstood the title, but may I ask what the significance of the AMD 64 of the title?

Thanks for the download.

EDIT:

Never mind, all made sense after watching the clip, very well done. Looked pro.

Awesome commercial! I checked out the actual site/winners, and pretty much the only one I'd say that competes with yours was the "inverse universe" or whatever. It was pretty cool.

I wonder if maybe they might have had a problem with mentioning the competition (The "A" word) in your spot?

Great looking add.. even if it was a fairy tale and fantasy about a PC having any mojo or advantage.. especially now.

Good to live in a dream world... but a nice looking Add all things said...

For those of us that like to purchase a new system or at least a new OS every year, there's MAC.

For everyone else, there's PC. :)
