Amazon.com Prices?

Why is the dvx100b all of the sudden 3400 bucks at amazon? Is this the direction prices are headed in? http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-AG-DVX100B-Proline-Camcorder-Optical/dp/B000BYJFYW/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-3743941-7245743?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1179968779&sr=8-1

Amazon (apparently) hasn't updated their price. Amazon's not an authorized reseller so they don't get the marketing bulletins.

I bought one from amazon a few weeks ago for about 2500, appears teh price fluctuates depending on if they have them in stock or not, at least that's what i've noticed.

They might not be an auth dealer but I bought two DVC30's over a year ago and did get the rebates. Did my DVX rebate online and haven't heard anything regarding accepting or rejecting yet.
