Hello all please critique this rough cut of the video I just shot for european artist.

it is still rough cut so there are a lot of minor problems will be corrected, please point out the problems you see and what you think of the video so we can make it better with feedback prior to releasing it thank you!



p.s. the 'amazing' thing was just an attention grabber ;-) I'll leave it to you to decide if it's amazing or not :kiss:
 
Sorry, slow inet right now. I could only watch 17 secs. I don't like homies turtleneck!! lol. I think he'd fit right in at the snug bar.
 
Visually it's really nice. Good picture quality and I like the lighting. It wasn't terrible interesting but it kept my attention. The biggest issue I had with it was that the lip syncing was off at times. It's not that you didn't align it properly, it seems more that he sang slower than he should have. That's a really big pet peeve of mine.
 
Well done, looked nice, loved the City bright lights shots and getting on the subway.

Critiques: Could use a story... you allude to one at the end with the girl looking over, but personally intercutting footage of an attractive girl traveling the city alone too is enough to make it more compelling (for me at least)... but then again maybe a female fan base would just like to see him lots.

I'd say to compete in this day and age of online music videos, a bit more content in the video helps.

It did look professionally done - aside from the sync being off on some shots... Maybe cut around the parts that are off?

thanks for all comments so far, very much appreciated. p.s. as for the lip sync off, i will fix that that's still due to the rough cut. all I have to do is minutely speed up/slow down the footage slightly to make it match more as I have already done in other scenes where it now matches perfectly.

please try to watch again and comment. there are more outfits than just the turtleneck i promise :happy:
 
Not a bad start. I thought the Depth of Field thing you were doing at the beginning got old fast. You did it in the first three shots...and then when the guy started singing. Also the audio is not synched at 40-45 seconds or so.

Other than that it looked fine...not my style of music at all though :)
