Amaran Aputure 528S vs 672s

Getting really near to deciding which LED panels to get and am trying decide between the Amaran Aputure 528S and 672s. Looking at comparisons the 672W does seem a lot brighter than the 528W but the 528s still seems fairly bright (and cant find any LUX comparison, only visiual ones). The cheesycam comparison 528s shows over 2000 lux at 4 feet. There is a big price diference.

The 528s is £139 (https://cvp.com/product/aputure_apu0015_led)
The 672s is £265 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aputure-HR672S-5500K-Video-Degree/dp/B00SX6ZUOO)

My initial thought was to get a 528s and see how it goes and then decide if to get a second 528s ro to get a second 672s (and use the 528s as a fill). Two 528s would be £278 and 2 672s would be £530 which is a big diference. However a lot of the stuff I shoot (inside) is places where there is general room ambience (office setting) so I am worried the 528s will not be bright enough.

If it's down to either or with these two models, go for the 672. You'll get more output which is helpful even indoors, and you'll get wireless remote control. I find the wireless control to be very helpful as it allows me to adjust levels while I'm sitting at the monitor.

When I bought my first two Aputure 672's (one spot and one flood), I was only interested in output, color quality, size and price, and wasn't particularly concerned about either the battery power capability or the remote controls, regarding them as interesting "extras" for occasional use. But in practice, I run the lights on batteries about 75% of the time, and use the remote on every single setup. Both are huge time savers. I'd buy the 672S over the 528S based on the remote control alone, now. (I currently have three 672's and an LS-1S that make up my "grab and go" lighting kit, and plan to add an LS300 soon.)

Hi Greg
what case are you transporting these in?

I have a Porta Brace LR-2 bag (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/590765-REG/Porta_Brace_LR_2.html) that holds the lights, three Manfrotto 5001 "nano" stands, and a few clamps and gels. It won't hold a stand sturdy enough for the LS1S light, however, so I also carry a separate bag with three Manfrotto 1004 stands, but don't unload them from the van unless needed. I'd actually rather have a slightly larger case, so I don't endorse this necessarily, and am always on the lookout for something more efficient.

I have the 528s and there are definitely times after diffusion where I would want more output, either go with the 672 or all the way with the LS1
