AMA file showing up very small in size

Hi,
We are using Avid MC5 and when bringing files into the avid thru AMA the QT file will show up very small, about a 320x240 size. The last file I tried to link with AMA that this happened with was a H264- 720x486 file. This is completely random, as it only happens every so often. when I import the file it comes in full frame. Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

AMA is really designed for high res editing formats...or high res shooting formats. H.264 at 720x486...while full sized SD, isn't really designed for editing. But, I don't like to AMA footage either...I like to transcode to an Avid codec.

In your "Settings" > AMA, click on the quality tab. Check to make sure that video quality is set to highest quality. I am not sure if this is your problem, but it's something I read about long ago, and I made sure to set things that way.

I would refer you to the Avid forums. Sorry, I'm still quite new at this and that's the only thing I could think of.
