Am I The First With A Faulty P2 Card?

hi a few days ago i got the incompatible card flashing in red on my camera it would not let me reformat as the camera saw it as a incompatible card with no thumbnails or anything on the card,
i use macs so i tried my brothers laptop which has a pcmi slot and i loaded the drivers and the p2 viewer on it, when it loaded it saw that there was a card ,but said it was unformatted when i tried to format it it said that it was unable to because of a bad parameter ,
so to me the card is faulty if that is the case i have just lost all confidence in this system, i have a fs100 which performs well which some people have slated in favour of the p2. but not me, can someone please help is there something else i can do?

Try formating the card in the camera. It is under menu Operation and format.

that is the first option i tried, then the pc, the card is just shagged just sent it back

How do you format it in the PC?

You use the P2 Viewer and its formatting option on a PC. You cannot format it on a MAC to my knowledge.

you can also format the card on the pc by right clicking and formating on the drive icon.. part of the drivers ads a little script to make sure it formats it in the Fat file system.

i was not trying to format it on a mac i was using a pc i have tried everything that you have stated, in the end it has gone back to panasonic ,i am filming next weekend and i will be fingers crossed with this kit!
