Am I doing this right? Record/pause?

Ok, I am recording, I hit the red button to pause, I hit it again to start recording but then I get the dirty head warning. If I turn the unit off and on, I can record again, but as soon as I hit the pause then record again, I get the warning light.

It does still record with the warning light on.

I have run the tape head cleaner and only have a few (under 5) hours on the unit. I only use (MQ I believe) tapes.

Anyone else with this?

If the cleaning tape doesn't do it, I'd take it in to be professionally cleaned. Sorry, I've never had it happen, so I don't know what else to tell ya.

Only 5 hrs on it. So the warranty is still good. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but it might need servicing. Have you called Panasonic?
