Am I Doing Something Wrong? Pulldown removal question.

I have been reading for sometime now about pulldown removal. I am not really sure what that is. I can record 1080p on my gh1 and pull it right into FCP, and it works fine. Am I losing quality or something? I really dont understand. If someone would clarify, I would appreciate it!

Zoom in to 100% or further. Move through frame by frame. Within a few frames you will see a weird ghosting interlaced effect. That is what you're removing when you remove pulldown. Your canvas window might be small and that might be why you don't notice it, but believe me the second you play it back on a larger screen you will.
