always thought the Wii was better!

I hate to break this to you, but that is really really really old, like years old. You poor poor man, where have you been?

I wish my Wii turned into a cute girl in a bikini

But yes this is oooold. I think this was posted here a long time ago. Back when Wii was the hot product. Now not so much.

The Wii has still sold as many as the PS3 and XBox combined. But yeah, the recent price slashes have made it a less compelling market dominator. August sales stats show the Wii moving 277,400 units, vs. the XBox at 215,400 and the PS3 at 210,000 units. Even the PS3 Slim and the price cuts can't bring that dog out of 3rd place. For September, the Wii moved 687,000 units(!) and the XBox did 347,000, with the PS3 moving only 232,000. So the Wii more than doubled, nearly tripled its sales in a month, the XBox got about a 50% sales jump, and the PS3 got about a 10% increase. So the Wii still looks like a pretty hot product.

According to gamer.blorge, Sony had boldly proclaimed that they'd sell 13 million PS3s in 2009. Sales so far? 2.5 million.

They'll sell big next month, too, when the Wii gets a price cut to $200. The first cut they've had if I'm not mistaken.

But the Wii has a totally different demographic than the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Wii sells huge to females and those over 60, wherein the PS3 and 360 don't.

Sales numbers mean nothing, wii and xbox/ps3 are apples and oranges.
Few people buy a PS3 and a 360, but a lot of people buy a wii and another.

It's like saying people buy more underwear then pants, therefore underwear is better then pants.

Underwear isnt the full package, and you "can" *cough* go with out them, but you wouldnt want to just only have underwear and not pants.
