Alvin and The Chipmuncks

Well I'm not going to the theatre to see it, but will get it on DVD when the price is right. Those records (yes, the vinyl, LP, 33 1/3) were my favorite when I was a kid.

Yeah, I loved them as a kid. Not sure how well it will translate. And judging from the ad I saw, the boys are a bit too "real" for me. Of course, for a 7 year old with nothing to compare it to, it won't matter. But I found them a bit creepy.

I saw it with the fam. Did not like it. The chipmunks were cute, but the writing and story were just lame.

what are you talking about?!?! the writing was amazing! i mean, talking chipmunks? its a great idea to begin with, but how do you make it believable in a live action setting? They made me a believer, and I commend them for that.

And kudos to Mr Lee for having to courage to take roles like this.

My eight year old daughter and her friend wanted to go today, so I took them. It was the worst movie I've seen all year and everyone associated with it should be tried before a war crimes tribunal--because I would have preferred waterboarding for 90 minutes. Almost everything about it was excreable.
